Jazz Manouche, Hot Jazz, Swing Gitan, Gypsy Swing, Gypsy Jazz — however you call it, it's jazz music but done gypsy style. That means it's done with spirit, heart, soul, and rhythm, rhythm, rhythm!

​This style of music can be enjoyed by people of all ages and all walks of life. It's mostly fun, fast, and light-hearted, but it can be relaxed and even a bit melancholy. Either way, there's always that "La Pompe," or the pump, as the classic gypsy jazz rhythm is called.

In its traditional form, gypsy jazz is guitar-based, with specialized guitars providing all the percussion, rhythm, and melody. A standup bass and a violin are common as well. Swing del Sur brings this 1930s-era music into the present for a unique and unforgettable sound.
