hot meals for the hungry

In its second year Hot Meals for the Hungry provides a full dinner for food-insecure folks in the downtown community on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m.  Our guests are seated restaurant style and served by the volunteers. This ministry recently expanded to being open almost every Tuesday (our goal is serving every Tuesday. Ascension Lutheran is now partnered with volunteers from Congregation Mickve Israel and First African Baptist Church.
